Hi. I feel like I must be doing something wrong b/c if it were a bug it would’ve been caught long before now, but here’s the situation.
I have a document that uses the “Novel” setup, At the highest outline level (same as Manuscript level), one of my folders is a reference for me to use, with folders like: Reference–>World–>Geography–>Place Name–>files about different things.
Whenever I click on the Reference folder or the World folder right below it, it always goes to corkboard mode. I can switch to scrivenings (which is usually what I prefer), but if I click anywhere else to look at something and come back, it’s back to corkboard again. Everything nested within there is in scrivenings mode.
I looked at this post: https://forum.literatureandlatte.com/t/default-mode/44520/3
and I tried the steps outlined. It worked on the tutorial. Then I tried it on my document. It seems to work for outline view, but when I try it with scrivenings, it goes back to corkboard. here’s what I did:
- Click on Chapter 1
- Press Ctrl+1 to switch to Scrivenings (or use the toolbar–happens both ways).
- Click on Reference
If I understand, Reference should now be in scrivenings, but it is in corkboard. I can switch it, rinse, repeat, same thing.
Thoughts?
