Editor losing focus?[ADDITIONAL INFO]

There are times, both in fullscreen and in normal mode, that Scrivener gets into non-typability. It’s kind of like one of the non-editor panes is grabbing focus, only I’m not sure which one. And I can’t figure out how to get back to typing in the editor area.

As a necessary detail, I am not using the mouse at this point, only the keyboard. (For complicated reasons, if the keyboard is where I can type efficiently, the mouse is not in reach and not being touched.) The obvious solution to “the editor does not have focus” is to click on the editor pane, but that is problematic when the mouse is not easily clickable.

I can’t duplicate the problem without using the mouse, but it’s similar to what happens if I single-click on one of the other tabs (such as the synopsis tab). Although there’s no way that is actually what’s happening, since the mouse is not in use.

I’m not sure if this is really a bug or just a situation where I don’t know the right keystrokes to tell Scrivener to get back to focusing on the editor.

You say it’s losing focus, but where is the focus going? To another window containing a corkboard? Have you tried Alt-Tab ing to another program and coming back to see if that drops you back into the editor in question? Does it happen in the middle of typing? Or only when you’ve been idle for a moment and then try to go back to typing?

Unfortunately I played with some keystrokes trying to see if there was a way to move your focus without the mouse and couldn’t find a way to do it. I don’t know a lot of Scrivener key shortcuts as of yet, so maybe there is a way and I just haven’t heard about it yet.
