Encoding in notes

Hi! Enjoying my Scrivener experience so far! It’s incredible how much it’s improved my productivity compared to other writing software!

I do have one question however, partly because I need the program to work for coding as well in some notes that I make (I use it for game design). So syntax is crucial. Is there a way to set the encoding in notes (maybe even per note) to “ISO-8859-1” rather than “UTF-8”? Not having this feature, unfortunately, would mean that I have to go back and change most of my apostrophes and special symbols, which often become unreadable when I convert it to different encoding in plaintext. Thanks very much!

Update: I just found a thread on how to set the default preferences to plain text, under the MultiMarkdown forum, which works well for what I need Scrivener to do!
