epub 3/KF8 ToC title not following table formatting

OK, I’d prefer to use automatically generated ToCs for this, but they are not nicely formatted out-of-the-box, as far as I can tell.

I’m not using a custom ToC, or even a dummy file, so there is nothing to connect to a section layout. My project ToC compile settings:

The results in Kindle Previewer:

The title of the page, “Contents”, is left-aligned, whereas the rest of the contents are centered. Can this be corrected without editing the CSS?

Strange, I’ve been setting up my epub 3 files with the same compile settings as you, and the title comes out centred as expected in all my previewers and Kindle apps.

It looks as though you have not set a Page Title style.
