epub and mobi formats missing in compile

I have been using Scrivener for months but at the beginning of July my laptop died on me. I got a new one and downloaded Scrivener onto it. Yesterday when I went to compile I had no summary option and I am missing in the “compile for” dialogue box the options for epub and mobi. Help! I really need these options because I edit while reading my manuscript on my iPod. I had them previously and I’ve read through the forums, watched the tutorials and searched online.

I redownloaded Scrivener and even made sure before that I had all the updates, so I have the most current version. What do I need to get epub and mobi compiling options back?

Thank you!
Crystal

I only suggest this because sometimes I miss the obvious too… when you click on the “Compile for:” drop-down list, are you scrolling that down past “Postscript (.ps)”? Epub is the very next option after that in my installation.

Also, what’s a summary option?

I am having this same problem. Here are the compile format options I’m being offered:

  • Original
  • E-book
  • Enumerated outline
  • Non-Fiction with Sub-Heads (Hierarchical or not)
  • Non-Fiction Manuscript Format
  • Novel Standard Manuscript Format
  • Outliner
  • Times 12pt with Bold Folder Titles
  • Custom

Like the original poster, I’m looking to compile in the EPUB format, but that option seems to be missing. I’m guessing this is some kind of error on my part, but does anyone have an idea of what I might be doing wrong?

I think you’re looking at the “Format As:” list. The OP is talking about the “Compile For:” list.

Bingo! I knew I was doing something foolish. Thank you for setting me straight so quickly!
