Exporting personal word list from Scrivener to Word

Hello! I found a thread about going the other direction (importing a custom diction from Word to Scrivener), but I’d love to copy and paste the personal word list I’ve curated in Scrivener into Word. I’ve tried to select the text in my personal word list, but I can’t select more than one word at a time, and can’t find a way to copy it to paste into another application.

Thanks for any help! I’m loving Scrivener!

Assuming you are on windows 10 try looking in drive C > users > yourusername > Appdata > Local > Scrivener > Scrivener
I found mine there on a notepad file. This can easily be copied ect.

The specific file at that location is wordlists.ini

It is a plain text file and can be viewed or edited with Notepad.
For safety sake, only do so when Scrivener is not running. Better yet, be sure to make a safety copy of it.

For additional discussion, do a search of these forums for “wordlists.ini”

Thank you both! That’s exactly what I needed!

Prairiefrogs, I’m a little curious what you’ll do with the word list now that you have it. I don’t use Word much. Is there a way to import that entire file into its user dictionary?

Sorry I’m so late in replying! What I did was paste it into a blank word doc, then I clicked each word to add it to my personalized list in Word.

Brilliant if tedious! Hope the hot weather on the prairie isn’t drying things up too much for the frogs.
