Facebook Integration

Okay, so this may be the most frivolous feature request ever, but I didn’t see it in any other posting in this forum, and I thought it could be a fun feature, so…

How about a feature that enables the user to create a Facebook status update with the most recent wordcount, or today’s wordcount, or some other progress update? The most recent Mountain Lion update seems to have some level of Facebook integration built-in, so maybe you could take advantage of that? Not only would it allow users to crow about their progress, but it also might be a subtle way to advertise the product at the same time.

(If this feature already exists, please feel free to beat me about the head with the salmon of cluefulness.)

Well we do have Twitter integration, so we couldn’t really bash you for being frivolous.

I’m not sure if it is as easy to add as Twitter was. If they’ve set it up so that it works in the same fashion it probably isn’t a hassle to add as much of the same code used to generate tweets would be applicable to whatever Facebook calls their one-liners. Wallers?

It’s up to Keith though.

install the selective tweets app on facebook and tag the end of your tweet post from scrivener with #fb ?

Does everything need to be integrated with FB these days? sighs
