Some these are already possible, to answer in order:
- The header bar is where one can rename the document, so the OS window title bar itself would not entirely replace what it does. Secondarily is a currently missing functionality: you should be able to drag the icon, which would act identically to how icon drags work from the main editor header bars. E.g. one should be able to easily transition a QR panel to a Copyholder by Alt-dragging the icon into a main editor header bar, and then closing the window. Lastly is a button you won’t see unless you have an inspector view open, and that is what lets you switch between horizontal or vertical arrangement of that data.
- I suppose we could add layout commands to remove the elements, but there aren’t any plans for it at this time.
- A bit moot given the above, but if that were a thing, it would probably follow how the rest should work: where new windows open up the way you left the last one: so preference through persistence rather than preference through checkboxes.
- Yup: that’s already noted as a missing feature. It should be remembered from one session to the next. You should never have to resize or change the position of a QR panel unless you no longer want it where you left it. Also missing is that concept of preference through persistence, where if you change the size of a QR panel then future panels will use that size as well. If you leave Bookmarks open in one, then when you load that item up two years from now it will still be open. None of this has been implemented yet though.
- It already does that, through the aforementioned inspector access. Click the “Editor Only” dropdown and select “Bookmarks”.
- And likewise you can add new bookmarks here, all in the same way you would using the main inspector.
