Hi All,
I’ve just dled 2.1 for Mac and any option for file import other than .scrv is greyed out. I’ve tried everything I can think of, but no cigar. Any ideas?

Do you have a project open? You can only import files into an existing project. If you haven’t already, I strongly recommend going through the interactive tutorial (Help > Interactive Tutorial), which covers importing and will also get you up and running with all the main features as quickly as possible. If you don’t want to do that just yet, then there’s a 10-minute introductory video here which also shows importing:

Glad that helped! You certainly don’t need to go through the whole 400-page manual, though! (We would be sadists if we told people to really RTFM, ha.) That’s there for reference, but the interactive tutorial - although it can take an hour or so to go through and so I understand users wanting to dive in and do it later - is designed to make new users feel like they can master the software pretty quickly (I hope so, anyway), and the videos are there for those who want to dive in but need a quick overview. There’s a bit of a learning curve, but I hope it proves worth it.
