I have a Scrivener project on Windows that is about 5MB. I’m considering buying my first Mac and will be switching to Scrivener for Mac. I’m a Mac ignoramus, but I recently saw somewhere that they tend to use more disk space than PCs do for equivalent files. 1) Is this true? 2) Roughly how much of a difference are we talking about? What’s my 5MB scriv project likely to consume on the Mac?

If your Windows Project requires 5Mb then so will your Mac Project. How much extra space is required depends on various settings for “cluster size”. You may find that the Mac is using a smaller cluster so it requires less total space than Windows did.
