I have Scrivener 3.1.5. I’m running Mac OS BIG Sur. I have a file I’ve been working on for months. I open Scrivener, click on Open Recent, then select the .Scriv file I want to access. BUT…nothing happens. The file does not open… AND Scrivener shuts down. Alternatively, if I try to open the file directly from the folder in which it’s stored, nothing happens either.
Help! How can I recover this file??
I tried to send a message to Tech Support via Scrivener’s online form, but I get an undeliverable msg: "This is the mail system at host ps233852.dreamhostps.com.
I’m sorry to have to inform you that your message could not
be delivered to one or more recipients. It’s attached below."
What is the deal? Is there no support for this product? And what is DreamHost?
Upgrade to the latest version, 3.2.2
And tech support are having holiday break
We are having a holiday break, but the support form should still work.
Please copy the error message you received and email it directly to one of the addresses on the support page.
Dreamhost is our email provider.
As for your original problem, as lunk said, upgrade to Scrivener 3.2.2 as the first step.
