Hi. I’ve been using Scrivener for about 3 months now. I love it so much! But I have a problem with the footnotes. No matter how I compile it, the line spacing between the first and second lines of the footnotes are greater than the spacing for all the subsequent lines. It is the same whether I compile it as a superscript footnote or indented to match the text. I can find no way to change it, even in a word processor. Should they look like this? They don’t in word processor-generated documents. Picture attached.
Thanks for the kind words! When you see spacing like this, it is usually because there is something in the text of one line that requires a little extra spacing around it (and this is the way Apple’s text system provides it). However, I cannot see anything in your text that would need extra spacing (unless perhaps the “1” is of a bigger font than the rest of the text - that could be the problem).
Could you please give more information about how you got this result? What do I need to do to reproduce it for myself? What format did you export to, what settings did you use and so on?
