First time compile, large text document, Scrivener 2, crashing at 99% stage

So, it’s 65,000 words text only. Crashing after buffering stage at end of compile.
Have tried compiling as PDF to Desktop, then to Documents, then as RTF to Desktop, then to Documents. Crashes all four ways, at end of compile progress.

A very small selection compiles in PDF to Desktop.

I have an iMac 10.11.6 El Capitan, am using the legacy 2.0 Scrivener. Anything I can do here?

OK, after a few more tries it compiles in Plain Text (.txt) and I can use Mac Text Edit to convert to PDF easily. Whole thing, 393 KB.

But this compile doesn’t include Front Matter, even though FM is ticked.

Ok, got it. Contents of my Front Matter document had wiped on a reset, needed to be filled in again. (This reminds me of Stephen King’s 11/22/63, but probably a tangent!)
