I see that the option to get a Flesch-Kincaid Grade Level of a text has been requested on here before, but not for over a decade. So I’m going to request it again as it would be incredibly useful to authors, like myself, who write for younger readers.

At the moment, I’m having to cut and paste text into MS Word to get a grade level, work in Word until the grade level is in the right area, and then paste it back into Scrivener.

An equivalent capability within Scrivener, with the option to check the grade level of small sections of text (as MS Word does) so that you can identify problematic sentences, would save a lot of faffing about.

PWA does this, I think.

I can already do it by exporting/copy-pasting the text into MS Word, but I’d rather do it directly in Scrivener.

But PWA integrates with Scrivener seamlessly…

I’ve now got this function from the Mac OS services menu by following the directions in this post: [Flesch–Kincaid - #8 by gr](https://forum.literatureandlatte.com/t/flesch-kincaid/38646/8)
I had to download and reinstall Java from here first: [Java Downloads | Oracle United Kingdom](https://www.oracle.com/uk/java/technologies/downloads/)
