When I add a new folder to my draft it inserts it all the way down at the bottom of my draft. Is there a way to create folders in place ?

Could you post a screenshot?
Normal behavior is for new documents at the same outline level to be created at the cursor location in the Binder, while new child documents are created at the bottom of the list of children. So seeing what kind of structure you have will help me understand what’s causing the behavior you’re seeing.
