Font changes with new folder

I don’t know if this is a bug or whether I have something set up wrong, but it’s bugging the heck out of me.

I’m using the WIndows XP NaNoWriMo Manuscript template for my work.

It should be set up for Courier 12 (I think that’s it). However, whenever I make a new folder and go to type, the font has changed to MS Shell Dlg 2 size 8. I can change the font back, but this is way annoying. There doesn’t seem to be a method for changing the font of an entire project. I can handle that.

But, darn it, when I am using a font at the start of the project, I don’t want to be bothered with changing the font every single time I open up a new folder on that project. It should not be reverting to another font that I never in my life have used before. At least, that’s what I think.

How do I make the font consistent throughout?

Thank you!

The text editor is a little quirky but I understand that Lee is working on it.

I am not sure if you did this so I will just explain the process anyway.
Under the Edit menu go to Options and click.
This brings up the global settings panel.
The tabs at the top can be scrolled sideways.
Scroll to the Editor tab.
The global setting for text attributes are there.
Click on the Font letter “A” beside the “B I U”.
Select the font you want and its size.
You can use the Manage button to make your choices a style you want to save.
This should apply the chosen font for all new documents.
It won’t change the previous ones. You do that manually.

I am using Beta 1.3.
I am just another Scrivener user sharing my discoveries. Hope this helps.
