Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone else is having this problem and might have a solution/workaround.
Problem:
In some sections of my work, I have used the font called Nimbus Sans L in version 24. I then installed 25 via the deb file and I wanted to change our friend Nimbus into Times New Roman or Century. However, this seems strangely impossible. When I select all and then go to the font menu and choose any other font, the text stays Nimbus. The name of the font in the font menu goes blank, but the text does not change at all. I can change the size of the font, but not the type of font.
I was definitely having font issues with version 025. I haven’t had a chance to test the latest (026) yet, but I’m hoping too do so in the next day or two.
I am still using 25, but I think I found a workaround of sorts. If you highlight the text, then go to the “format” menu and choose “fonts” and change it that way, it works. I mean, it worked for me.
Weird thing. Yesterday, the menu properly displayed the font correctly and I could change it. Today, after re-opening my project, it says the font is Nimbus Sans L (it is not, I’m using Courier 10 pitch), and I can’t change it. But the wokaround deals with it (also, I can convert the font to the default by going Document>Convert>Formatting) so the problem seems to be with the menu.
