Hi friends,
Apologies if you are already aware of this (I searched the forum and couldn’t find anything). When I try to compile a document to a .docx format the following occurs:
- It CORRECTLY creates a footnote reference where the original note was located and puts the footnote at the bottom of the page (as expected).
- The CONTENT of that note is the same number as the footnote reference (so, for example, the first footnote at the bottom of the page is a superscripted “1” followed by another 1).
- The above occurs for all 70 footnotes (so the final footnote is “70 70”).
- At the end of the document there is a list of superscripted numbers 1-70, each on a separate line.
- After each of the above numbers is another footnote reference (so, after the 1 is a footnote reference numbered 71).
- The CONTENT of this second footnote contains the correct content that should have been found in the first footnote (so, the content of footnote 71 contains the information that should be found in footnote 1).
This does not occur when exporting to .doc (so I just do that as a work-around).
I’m Using the latest version of Scrivener for Windows (1.0.3) On a Windows 7 machine.
Best,
Tim
