Footnotes as footnotes

I am trying to compile and actually get the footnotes at the bottom of each page. I can’t find this anywhere. In the compile settings, I have deselected footnotes as endnotes but they still always end up as endnotes in the compile.

Sorry for such a newb question but I have looked through the forum and can’t find a solution that works. Thanks in advance!

Right hand pane of the main Compile screen, under the gear icon. Make sure the “Export footnotes as endnotes” box is not checked.

The option’s not available for ebook formats, because ebooks don’t have “pages” in the conventional sense.
