I just started using Scrivener on trial version for a book project. I have the whole book in 25 MsW files (MsW 2011, v 14.7.7) representing chapters for the book. I was pleasantly surprised to see that on a quick glance S correctly handled footnotes of old times (before the computer-age) when new footnotes in subsequent editions of a book were inserted as 1, 1a, 1b etc (to spare a whole resetting of the book). This was after just looking at Ch 1 to see how it would display in Scrivener, which I have heard good things of. With high hopes I imported all 25 files and now I find that Scrivener just seem to have imported footnotes for the 2 first chapters. After that zero! Another problem is that Scrivener doesn’t search in footnotes.
Could you possibly provide us with a file for which Scrivener fails to import footnotes?
Also, Scrivener’s Find feature does search through footnotes.
Thanks and all the best,
Keith
