I’m compiling a manuscript with an inline footnote, which does not show up as a footnote when I compile. It just shows up as plain text. I have been compiling to odt, but I also tried rtf and docx formats just to check; same issue.
(using Scrivener 2.7 on Yosemite)
Check in the RTF Compatibility compile pane, is the option to flatten footnotes to text enabled? That will do what you’re describing, it’s for when working with programs that cannot read proper footnotes mainly.
Nope. I checked that. “flatten footnotes” is unchecked.
To come back to one thing, you say there is an inline footnote. There is just this one single one in the whole book, or are there more that work fine and only this one isn’t working?
