Formatting of Numbers in List

Hi all, I have a quick question about list formatting which I couldn’t find an answer to: is it possible to keep the numbering of a list’s formatting constant, without it being affected by the first word of the sentence?

I use numbered lists for answers to exercises, and I use bold to highlight certain words in the answers. Those words usually come later in the sentence, but sometimes at the start. When I use bold for the first word in a list, it makes the number bold, too, which I don’t want as the other numbers are not bold.

I can’t see any option to keep the number in regular type when the first word is bold, can anyone help me? Thanks in advance.
