I downloaded Scrivener for Windows this morning and followed the tutorial. I started to create my own project. Everything was going well since I closed Scrivener. I wanted to open my project again but I had a warning message telling me that my free trial was over. I thought it was supposed to last 30 days. Am I missing something ? Is there something I didn’t do ?
Is there any chance what you downloaded was not the free trial but the beta version of Scrivener 3 that expired on August 15? If you did that, worked with it the day before it expired, and only just tried to open your project again, you’d get a message you might interpret as a free trial being over. The solution is to update to the current free beta, which will be valid until September 15.
If what you have is really the free trial, I have no idea the problem.
That is an EXTREMELY old and out-of-date version of Scrivener. You are better off uninstalling that version completely, then going to the L&L homepage and downloading the current release version:
