Full Screen option doesn't work

I’m a new user of Scrivener. I have tried to use Full Screen option, but this doesn’t work with me.
I have a document open, but the Full Screen button is greyed out.
What can I do?

Do you have a file open and in an editor? (Not just in the binder.)
