garbled layers of text

Hi

When using scrivener for screenwriting, my scene sections keep getting muddled and overlaid (see image).

Just one of the bugs since moving to an M1 Mac. The other is crashes about 10-15 times a day!

All adding up to a frustrating experience.

Running Scrivener 3.2.2?

Could try resetting preferences…,

Possible to share a dummy project showing the issue… someone might see a solution for you.

Thanks.will try that.

Only happens once a day or so, so not sure how I’d create a dummy project unfortunately.

Resetting the project’s display settings should help with the crashing issue, and may help the display issue as well.

If it doesn’t, please open a support ticket. Include a copy of the crash report.

I’m having the same issue. When switching between the corkboard and the composite scrivenings in page view mode (entire screenplay in my case) half the time when generating the text there is an error and on some pages two sections of text are overlaid on top of each other rendering it illegible.

I haven’t tried deleting prefs yet but I found a quick workaround is to Cmd+A select everything and then click on something like the text colour toggle button, making the text black (which it already is) and that seems to reset everything. Adding a carriage return before the garbled section and undoing it has a similar result.
