getting rid of second, nested character name/corkboard

I’m creating a scriv project for all my character info for each book. I’m dragging characters from original book file into the new character project, and notice that whenever i create a cork board card for them, it creates a secondary subfile for that character. If i delete the subfile, it also deletes the corkboard card. Is there a way to keep the cork board card under just the one instance of the character name? (rather than a repeat, nested name?)

What you see on the Corkboard is the synopsis of the associated file. When you drag a file into your project, the synopsis (if there is one) will come with it. There’s no need to create an additional card. Rather, just make sure that the text you want is in the synopsis of the original file.

Katherine! thank you. that did the trick.
