Getting TOC links into PDF directly

Will a future version of Scrivener be able to get TOC hyperlinks into a PDF export? I know that right now we depend on exporting to RTF and then handling this with a word processor, but it would be nice if Scrivener could do this directly.

It would indeed be nice.

Stay tuned.

Any proposed date for version 3 announced?

No even a vague guess at this point. We’re still collating what to do and what not to do. This particular ability could very well be in the next point update, if the testing continues to go well.

I can say that version 3.0 will not be out this year; end of 2013 at the very earliest. But as Ioa points out, there is plenty of good stuff getting added in the meantime. Version 3.0 will concentrate on some much bigger features.

Hi Keith-

Will we at least see a 2.5 sometime before then?

Thanks!
Garrick

Absolutely - but 2.3 is next.

 Sweet!!!

The new beta supports internal links (and thus ToC links) in PDF files; it can also generate PDF outlines based on titles included:

All the best,
