Global Search -- can't get it to work

I’ve been using Scrivener on a Mac for about 5 years no probs, but this has got me stumped.

Suddenly the global search doesn’t throw up any results. If I type even a single letter into the search bar it returns nothing.

It stopped working about a week ago in my current project, but I opened up an older project to see if that document still allowed me to make use of global search. It did.

Then I began a new project, but it’s not working in any new projects either.

Does anyone know what I’ve done, or what might be going on? The only settings I’ve tinkered with in that time was changing the language from Australian to American English on my computer then back again, but nothing else I can think of.

Are you using the search box in the tool bar? Have you clicked the little arrow left of the box to see where you are searching?

No! I had never noticed that little arrow before. That’s fixed my problem. It was only searching keywords. I’m glad it was an easy fix, thanks!
