Let’s say I’m editing a text document. When I go to another document and come back, Scrivener moves the line that I had been editing to the bottom of the editor window. Also there is no blinking cursor. Thus if I just want to check another document, then come back, I usually have to reorient myself. It would be better for me if you restored the current scroll location, the current cursor location, and blinked the cursor. That is, make it as if I had never left the document. I’ve determined that by clicking the scroll bar on the right of the editor I can get the cursor start blinking, but if that happened automatically, it would be an improvement.
Also, if I open a document that I haven’t edited for a long time, it is positioned where I’d been editing before. I would rather that it just opened it at the top of the document.
I realize that those are competing goals …
