With two-page vertical view, my favorite, is there a way that when I finish writing one page and start the next that the page I just finished moves to the right vertical window automatically?
That way, I could refer to what I just wrote while writing the next page.
Currently, I’m doing this, but manually clicking to put the last page I worked on in the right (vertical) window.
No, there’s no way of doing that - that’s a bit of a unique use-case (although a good one!). A quick way of doing it might just be to close the split and reopen it so that the current document is now in both editors, and then load the next document.
