Is there an easy tutorial that I can use? I am very confused by it all. More specifically a question I have is how to a make a heading not all large caps.

Hello kane1. I typically recommend that users start with the Interactive Tutorial, which you can access via the Help menu. That’s a good overview for the general layout of the program and its features.
From there, you might check out the Mac tutorial videos, which demonstrate a number of the tools.
Since you’re looking specifically for headings, you may want the 4-part video series titled “Getting Your Work Out,” which covers the Compile process. It will demonstrate customizing some of the compile templates and choosing section layouts.
I suspect the settings you’re using in those ares are giving you the all-caps headings.
