I need help in creating a table of contents that will show up in the compiled version of my manuscript. Also, no matter what I do, the first chapter is always my front matter and not the actual first chapter.
Can any help me with this?

Best to post this in the Technical Support section – you have a better chance of getting a reply from the Tech Support people. They do look at this section, but it’s not a priority, unlike the Technical Support section.
