complete dummy! I seem to have lost the left hand list on my tutorial . So I have got so far but no further very annoying!! 
That would be the “Binder”. You probably clicked on the left-most icon in the toolbar (looks like a print-shop bound document) or possibly triggered the keyboard short-cut to the menu item equivalent View->Layout->Binder. Try clicking on the icon, or visiting that menu item.
