Highlighted Create button makes error noise

I cannot create a new project. File>New Project shows Create button being highlighted and making an error noise when I click Create (any template selected.) Project>New From Template shows the template (Novel with Parts) greyed out.

If you have more than one project, does this occur for all the projects or just a specific one?

Welcome to the forum.

  1. What Mac are you using… Intel-based or Apple Silicon and, if the latter, which M version?
  2. What version of Scrivener do you have installed?
  3. Are you running any third party malware apps (Norton, McAffee) which might be getting in the way?

The answers to those questions will help people troubleshoot what might be happening.
