Hi! I am hoping that Scrivener may support syncing with other drive service one day, like Google Drive. I store basically most of my work files within Google drive (I can switch to Dropbox for sure… and I’m actually gonna do it because I want to be able to actually use my Scrivener in iPhone).
Due to my work, I have to run Google Drive, OneDrive, and Box on my laptop simultaneously already… I will really I appreciate if I do not have to add another cloud service to my poor laptop.
But, again, I know there are priorities and there might be other concerns for the developer. Hope everything goes well!
Since: Google Drive is known to corrupt projects seriously; One Drive used to it seems (depending on versions and settings); Apple iCloud if set the way Apple pushes will do so and can be so slow as to cause corruption; Box does not support the “package” format which is the basis for Scrivener on the Mac; Sync works but is slightly slower to work so needs caution and the company discourages it’s use with Scrivener …

That leaves Dropbox, which is also the only one to provide the low-level API necessary for sync’ing with iOS/iPadOS.
I run Sync, Dropbox, iCloud, Box, and use Sync for projects shared with my collaborator. We get a conflict maybe 2-3 times a year using Sync; I’ve never had one with Dropbox.
