How can I remove the date and time from the title of my manuscript

For some reason, my book title, The Vatican List, now has the date and time next to it. How can I remove the date and time?

Has the date and time where? In printed output? In the title bar for the window? Somewhere else?

It’s in the title bar for the page in both books I’m writing.

If you’re seeing it in printed output, it’s probably part of the settings for the Print Current Document command.

If it’s the title bar for the Scrivener window, you probably opened a backup copy with that name.

So what should I do to change the settings or to close the backup copy? And what is the backup copy and how do I access it?

It is suggested that you familiarise yourself with the Interactive Tutorial, available from the Help menu. It’s basically a sample Scrivener walkthrough project that you can continue working in or regenerate, if need be. You’ll find that key components in Scrivener are how saving projects and backups work.

Your backup settings are found by selecting File > Options > Backup. Here’s a sample screen:

At the end of the day, there are various ways to answer your questions, but by understanding Scrivener fundamentals, you choose what works best for you.

Just to be clear.

Is this date and time appearing when you have the projects open, or in Windows File Explorer?
