I’m writing a book on programming, so I use a lot of Code Span and Code Block formats. Unfortunately, most of my text is in a font (Euclid) I don’t have rights to and don’t want. I want to use Palatino.
I have set every default I can find to Palatino. I deleted the Euclid font from my computer, so now it all shows up in Scrivener as Helvetica (!!).
If I select an entire page and choose “No Style,” it does all turn to Palatino, including anything in Code Span (but bizarrely, Code Block keeps its font). It also removes all italics and boldface. So reformatting everything page-by-page is something I would prefer to avoid.
If I select something in Palatino, Scrivener reports that it is No Style. Same if I select something in Helvetica. I don’t like working in Helvetica, but the worst part is, when I compile to PDF, anything in Helvetica comes out in Helvetica, despite the fact that it’s No Style in Scrivener, and despite the fact that all my formatting in Compile is set to Palatino.
My original question would have been, How can I replace all Euclid text with Palatino? Now it is, How can I replace all No-Style Helvetica with Palatino?
