How can one open a bookmark on the right in the editor next to it on the left?

Right-clicking the bookmark in the list will give you a handful of options for where to open it. If the editor is split, the one with the dark underline (usually blue) on the header is the “Current” editor.

You can also drag and drop the icon from the bookmark list into the editor header to load it. (This is a cool trick that works multiple places, e.g. you can also add an item to the bookmark list by dragging the icon from the editor header.)

Ah, sorry, how could I miss that! Can it be opened with a shortcut / key press, holding it, and mouse click?

Great, many thanks for the cool tricks, they are very cool, indeed.

Apparently—and, perhaps duh, this makes perfect sense—this only applies to internal bookmarks?

(I only mention this because I just decided to try this out and spent a bit of time trying to open a bookmark grabbed at random and dropping it on the editor header and not seeing the expected results.)

Thanks for teaching me something new.

Drag and drop from the bookmarks to the editor/copyholder headers only works on Windows for internal bookmarks at the moment, but the intention is to expand this ability to external bookmarks in the future.
