I’ve been ‘checking for updates’ every hour for the last week and it’s beyond October 25 and it still says 1.54 is the newest release! And then I look on the boards and see that some people are actually USING Scrivener 2!! Help!!! I’m so jealous I want to cry/hang myself. Please tell me how to get it!

No, it’s not sad - it cheers me up no end after answering a billion, “Yeah, it’s nice and all that, but why doesn’t it do X?” e-mails.
Nothing else comes close. Only… when it’s lying there, in the dark, on the pillow next to me, late at night, and I tell it all my secret dreams and hidden desires… why doesn’t it tell me I’m as special to it as it is to me? I understand it has many other users. But sometimes I like to think – I know it’s crazy – that maybe I’m its favourite user, or at least that I’m just a little bit different from all the others… It’s just a dream, that’s all. A boy has to have a dream.

Desperate to join the fun, I downloaded ScrivNanoMacPreview, only to get the sad message
'Unable to unarchive ‘ScrivNanoMacPreview.zip into Downloads’ (Error 1 - Operation not permitted.)
Why ‘not permitted’ for God’s sake! What have I done wrong? Why am I being punished? Who have I offended?
Is there some simple cure or is prayer the only answer at this stage?
Anyone else suffering out there?
