I have been sent a document which has stripped out formatting. I need to replace the formatting - so how can I do that using find an replace?
Specifically, titles of books, TV shows etc are no longer in italics, and I need to replace the unitalicized versions with italicized versions.
Is there an option for this?
Thanks
If I understand your situation correctly, there’s nothing that Scrivener can do on its own; without the titles being different in some way to the surrounding text, there’s nothing but the literal words making up those titles to set them apart. So you’ll just have to do a read-through, highlight each title, and applying whatever formatting you need to those titles. If it’s more than just italicizing or underlying, you can create your own formatting presets via the Format->Formatting menu options.
