How effective is Scrivener detecting unbalanced quotation marks?
On a balance of probabilities, Scrivener is remarkably efficient.
Using RegEx project search and replace, Scrivener will be quite efficient.
What is meant by unbalanced?
Is it opening quotation marks and no closing quotation marks?
Or, is it a matter of straight quotation marks vs. curved quotation marks? If it’s this option, then in Windows Ctrl+Q will change straight quotes to smart quotes, even across documents, if you’re in Scrivening mode. Simply click in the editor of a primary folder in Scrivenings mode and press Ctrl+Q and Scrivener will efficiently do what you’ve asked it to do.
