How to browse my whole draft in snapshot comparison?

I need to compare the current draft of my book with the previous draft that I’ve snapshotted. I can do this for individual chapters, but the problem is the book is in 57 fairly short chapters. This makes it a bit fiddly, because each time I move on to the next chapter, I have to click on the relevant snapshot again, then click Compare again. Is there a way to set it up so that Scrivener will just continue to show me the comparison with that set of snapshots as I move through the book? One solution is just to export the two full drafts to LibreOffice and run the comparison there, but it would be nice to do it all within Scrivener.

I have to say, overall, I regret structuring this project into individual Scrivener chapters – that may be what Scrivener encourages you to do, but to me it has made the user experience more annoying in multiple different ways.

  • Compile the current version to Word.
  • Make a copy of the current Project using Save as… with a recognizable name.
  • In that version Roll back all Snapshots.
  • Compile to Word.
  • Review > Compare documents in Word.
