How to change the background color of the Editor

I do most of my writing at night and would love to be able to have the screen not be so blindingly white. Is there a way to change the background of the editor to a color other than white. I’ve managed to copy over the background for the full page view, which is slightly tan but, it’s still quite bright.

I’m using Scrivener for Windows Version: 1.9.16.0 - 14 Nov 2019.

Any clues, please?

Thanks!
Rick

Have you tried:

TOOLS > OPTIONS > APPEARANCE > EDITOR > PAGE ?

Click the white color chip, and choose a color you like.

Hope that helps. I can identify with the blindingly white screen. I need something far more subdued. I mostly use the current beta, but this seems to work in the 1.9 version.
