im not sure why but in some of my initial chapters, when i go to edit, the cursor positions itself at the line above where i am trying to edit. ive looked everywhere to see what command might be causing this disconnect but cannot find anything out-of-the-ordinary. please help me understand how to correct it .
the invisibles are making the cursor misalign with the text im editting. how do i delete them

You can delete them just like any other character.
For tables in particular – which are an especially common source of problems – you’ll need Format → Table → Remove Table.

no tables were used and nothing from the web. i discovered the invisibles by going to “view” and then “text editting” but i cant delete them.
Please post a screenshot. I’ll check your trust settings to make sure you can.
