How to hide footer word count, but keep visual progress bar?

Is there a way to hide the numeric word count, but keep the colored progress bar?

In other words:

I really dislike seeing the exact numbers here. Hiding the entire footer is kind of a bummer because I don’t know how close to my goal I am.

Go to Scrivener > Preferences > Editing and deselect “Words” next to “Live counts show” in the “Options” pane.
