Downloaded Dropbox app for PC. Uploaded successfully my Scriv folder. Have Dropbox app and Scriv App on my iPad. Have no idea how to open my Scriv file in Scrivener App that is in Dropbox App.
When I hit the synch button for Dropbox in Scriv app, it says all is updated that disappears- but doesn’t offer me to choose my file. Can’t seem to link it within Dropbox either. According to posts, I should once I hit Dropbox Synch, be taken to a choice of which file to open, and I’m not.
Would you mind sharing how to do it? I have been fumbling around for a while and have the same issue. If I create it on the ipad it syncs and I can see it in dropbox on my Mac. But the files I already have that I created on my Mac won’t show up on my ipad.
Make sure the Scriv files from your computer are placed in the Apps Folder (which holds a Scrivener file) . I was placing them into the Others folder which for some reason, doesn’t recognize… Once you place your folder in the Apps/Scrivener folder, open up Scrivener on the iPad, synch again (using the synch icon top left) and all the files drop in.
You can have them in any Dropbox folder, as long as you tell your iPad Scrivener where to look, tapping on Edit -> gear wheel -> Dropbox settings, and then navigating to the correct Dropbox folder
I recently got Scrivener for iOS to compliment my Mac version. I have done everything here, but when I sync it goes through Syncing with Dropbox, then nothing else happens. My files are synced in Dropbox to Apps>Scrivener. I have selected in my Dropbox settings “Apps/Scrivener” but I’m not getting my files/project. Help.
… meaning you have the files in the Dropbox/Apps/Scrivener folder on your Mac and also have the Dropbox app installed and running (starting automatically when you start your Mac)?
