How to prevent strikethrough from appearing red when compiling

Hi!
In my 130 000 word manuscript I have used strikethrough exactly one time (as a linguistic joke). When compiling the strikethrough appears red (as in the editor) despite having checked to remove font colors.

Is there any way to get the strikethrough to appear in black? Thanks.

It may depend on how you do strikethru. Is it from a snapshot or a text style. If you use strikethru from the font toolbar, it is the same color as the text you apply it in. (In windows). I compiled the document as a pdf and was black as it appeared in the editor.

Thanks.
I’m a Mac user and the strikethrough is actually not available from the font toolbar, I have to go through the menu format/font/strikethrough. Unfortunately this does not work. The strikethrough is always red in both the editor and the compiled manuscript no matter what font color, or whether the revision style is ON or OFF.

Thank you for the effort, though, much appreciated.

The setting for changing strike colour is found in the Mac system Font palette, in fact. Try selecting a bunch of text with strike-through text in it, hit ⌘T to bring up the font panel. You should see where to go at this point, pick “Color” from the strike-out button, and then pick black.

So you could do that in one big Scrivenings session to clean up the whole work at once.

Thanks, Amber that was indeed the trick. Wouldn’t have found it in a milion years. Much obliged!
