How to remove all page breaks from compiled PDF

I’m using compile for the first time, so please forgive me if this is a silly question.
I’m going for a pdf output using the built-in Modern format. I set all my sections to ‘As-is’ layout. How do I prevent Scrivener putting a page break between each document? Can I get it to put a line across the page instead?

You cannot change the built-in format but you can create a duplicate of any built-in format.

Then edit the new format (maybe you call it “My Modern”) in the section Seperators by replacing the page-break(s) by something else.

Please note that Compile does have a learning curve. But once you got how it works you will get a lot of benefits. You should definitely check the tutorial and for further insights the chapter about Compile in the manual too.

And you can always come back here with questions, of course.

When you play around with Compile keep in mind that it does not destroy any of the content of your project. And also that you can create as many copies of the Modern format as you want (just in case you did something bad and can’t remember how to set it back).
