How to remove lead-ins at beginning of chapter on macOS?

Hello! I’m fairly new to Scrivener and making some final edits to my second book.

I cannot for the life of me find an option to not capitalize the first few words of a chapter as the lead-ins for my title include quotes.

Does anyone have any tips on how I can disable this on macOS? I’m on the latest version available.

This is an easy adjustment to make:

  1. Open File ▸ Compile... and in the middle preview column, scroll through the preview tiles looking for samples with capitalised words. Double-click on the first one you see to edit the compile Format, and jump straight to where this particular Section Layout is set up.

  2. Select the New Pages tab.

  3. Set the Number of opening words to make uppercase setting to “0”.

You might at this point need to scroll through the Section Layout list in the upper half, checking for any other bold highlighted layouts (these are ones you’ve assigned to be used by your project), and double-check the setting on them.

  4. Click Save, and test the output.
