I have been trying to figure out how to work on the same project from two different Mac’s. I have emailed Scrivener support back and forth for a week with no success. Is there anyone who can help me? I am sure there is a simple solution, but tech support has been less than helpful. I am so tired of emailing back and forth. Is there anyone who can walk me through this? I am using Dropbox, and I have linked my dropbox to both computers.
Is there anyone from Scrivener who I can call?
It should be as simple as moving your project into the dropbox folder on one computer, and open it in Scrivener from there. Always close your project on your current computer and let the final bit of cleanup to happen and be synced to the cloud.
On the other computer, just wait for it to completely download the project to it’s dropbox folder (the icon in your menu bar should change to indicate when it is or isn’t syncing). Give it a full count of 20 before deciding it’s done. Then open that in Scrivener and edit. Close that copy when you’re done, give dropbox enough time to catch up to Scrivener’s final cleanup of its files.
Repeat as needed.
